A global eCommerce company Senior Instock Manager. The chosen candidate will own complex supply chain problems and work with cross-functional teams to identify and launch initiatives aimed at improving customer and vendor experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own supply chain strategies to deliver a best-in-class customer experience while optimising cost structure
  • Build, manage, and optimise a complex supply chain ecosystem including forecasting, ordering, and inventory management
  • Define and execute plans to improve product availability, delivery speed, and supply chain costs
  • Plan and execute initiatives to expand product selection and improve inventory availability
  • Partner closely with and influence cross-functional internal teams and Books vendors
  • Work alongside AI and Generative AI tools to accelerate decision-making and improve operational efficiency
  • Continuously develop AI fluency through available learning and development resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, supply chain, inventory management, or related project management
  • Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics, and driving overall insights or analysis
  • Experience creating and improving metrics such as KPIs and extracting insights from raw data
  • Native level Japanese (JLPT N1); business level English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma
  • Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets and familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques
  • Strong organisational skills, including prioritising, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
