サプライプランニングマネージャー/ Supply Planning Manager

A leading company in the consumer and FMCG sector is seeking a Supply Planning Manager. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end supply planning, drive cross-functional alignment and issue resolution, optimise inventory and logistics costs, and facilitate SCMR as part of the S&OP+ process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall supply planning activities for the Japan market by validating supply, purchasing, production, inventory, change management, and planning parameters
  • Develop and execute mid- to long-term supply planning strategies in collaboration with Sales, Finance, 3PL providers, regional teams, and E2E Supply Chain functions
  • Collaborate with external customers on VMI operations to ensure stable supply, inventory optimisation, operational alignment, and effective issue resolution
  • Lead the proposal, alignment, and continuous review of SLA frameworks for VMI operations
  • Review, align, and improve supply-related SLA and operational parameters with manufacturing sites and regional teams
  • Drive cost improvement activities in collaboration with Finance and Logistics teams while balancing service, cost, and operational efficiency
  • Represent the Supply Planning team during supply issues and lead cross-functional stakeholders to assess situations, drive alignment, and resolve issues
  • Lead supply contingency planning activities to strengthen supply security and business continuity
  • Drive continuous improvement of supply planning, production planning, and inventory management processes
  • Own and orchestrate Supply Planning KPIs and ensure annual targets are defined, monitored, and achieved
  • Develop and facilitate SCMR as part of the S&OP+ process framework
  • Lead supply chain initiatives including product launches, transition management, and risk mitigation activities
  • Support and guide supply planners through expertise, coaching, and day-to-day collaboration
  • Collaborate with Digital, regional teams, and key stakeholders to optimise planning systems and tools such as ERP and FuturMaster

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, or another relevant field
  • More than 5 years of experience in supply chain, including Logistics, Demand/Supply Planning, Customer Service, or Operations
  • Strong supply planning experience in the consumer or FMCG industry
  • Knowledge of ERP and forecasting tools
  • Financial knowledge and acumen
  • Fluent level English and Japanese
