サプライヤーインダストリーエンジニア/ Supplier Industry Engineer

A multinational electric vehicle and clean energy company is looking for a Supplier Industry Engineer. The selected candidate will lead supplier industrialisation activities, drive new product introduction, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure suppliers deliver high-quality components on time.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise and lead supplier industrialisation activities across the supply chain
• Develop, manage, audit and improve supplier manufacturing, assembly and quality control processes
• Lead New Product Introduction activities and drive supplier improvements in scalability, cost and quality
• Coordinate technical requirements between suppliers and internal Purchasing, Quality and Design teams
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure performance, delivery and reliability requirements are achieved
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define supplier performance specifications and metrics
• Lead supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes
• Guide suppliers in developing robust manufacturing processes and procedures
• Validate supplier corrective actions related to design and process changes
• Provide recommendations on alternative materials to improve design, manufacturability and cost

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Material/Manufacturing Engineering
• 6-10 years of experience in assembly plant operations supporting electronic components, connectors, harnesses, PCBA or similar in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in Quality Systems and PPAP/APQP processes
• In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing safety-critical parts
• Ability to define and execute projects using project management techniques
• Strong technical writing, data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability and willingness to travel 50–60%, including short-notice travel
• Professional level Japanese; proficient in English
