A foreign automotive parts manufacturer is looking for an SCM role. The chosen applicant will manage warehouse operations, 3PL performance, inventory, and supply chain improvement to support operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide 3PL partners to ensure performance meets established KPIs for manpower optimisation and cycle time efficiency
  • Prepare monthly reports on 3PL performance
  • Define warehouse management system (WMS) rules and functions based on business requirements
  • Coordinate bi-annual warehouse stock takes
  • Optimise forwarder costs
  • Assist in the implementation of projects to enhance supply chain processes and drive business innovation
  • Identify opportunities to optimise supply chain processes in line with business activities, trends, and strategies
  • Support business projects and drive process improvement initiatives in Japan
  • Prepare monthly warehousing and 3PL KPI reports under the continuous improvement policy
  • Track and report weekly and monthly inventory performance
  • Prepare, support, and coordinate monthly reports for the Regional Operations and Business Excellence Asia Pacific team
  • Prepare monthly performance lift KPI reports focused on cost savings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 4 years of experience in SCM is mandatory
  • Deep knowledge and experience of supply chain concepts, inventory management, and warehousing
  • Business level Japanese and English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Automotive and aftermarket knowledge
