A multinational chemical company is looking for an SCM Assistant Manager. The selected candidate will lead S&OP planning, manage supply chain operations, and drive performance improvements across planning, inventory, and logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate S&OP processes aligning business units and material management with global standards
  • Drive demand planning and forecasting accuracy through analysis and structured planning cycles
  • Manage master scheduling to meet commercial and manufacturing requirements
  • Ensure product availability through effective supply planning and MRP application
  • Oversee distribution requirements planning and stock transfers across warehouses
  • Manage purchase, production, and transfer orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Monitor order status and resolve deviations to ensure timely material delivery
  • Maintain master data accuracy for material management processes
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to improve supply reliability and flexibility
  • Manage non-conformance issues for purchased goods
  • Monitor SCM KPIs and drive continuous performance improvements
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and share best practices across teams
  • Manage or participate in SCM-related projects ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget
  • Monitor logistics service providers to ensure service quality and compliance
  • Support team development through training and knowledge sharing
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding and supporting team members in daily operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 5 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in planning roles
  • Experience in project management and supply chain operations
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems; Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess strong understanding of S&OP, demand and supply planning, MRP, inventory control, transportation, distribution, and third-party logistics
  • Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

  • Knowledge of sales processes and OTC processes
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience
  • Possess a valid APICS certification
