品質保証エンジニア/ Quality Assurance Engineer

A renowned automotive technology is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The chosen applicant will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by assessing product quality and coordinating communication between the plant and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Make initial analysis of customer-returned parts, including OEM 0km failures and market Field claims, and lead further initial analysis at the Japan Office or external lab as the company’s customer window person
• Drive problem-solving activities using 8D, A3, FTA, Fishbone, and other quality tools with Plant Quality Engineers, and report results to customers to secure 8D cycle time and high-quality levels
• Plan and conduct sorting, inspection, or reflash actions when needed, including work instruction creation, OK/NOK quantity control, and cost control
• Create quality-related reports for internal and external needs, including internal quality reports and customer quality presentations
• Coordinate customer audit preparation and follow-up with the production plant
• Coordinate Customer PPAP, ISIR collection, PPAP submission, and change management
• Lead Japan Office team members and conduct quality-related training, internal audits, and layered audits from a continuous improvement perspective

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience as an office quality engineer or process quality engineer in the automotive supplier field
• Experience working in tier1 auto parts supplier
• Customer-Oriented Mindset
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally
• Business level Japanese; proficient in English

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working with JOEM
• Quality audit methodology knowledge and experience (certified auditor)
• International assignment or overseas work experience
• Production Knowledge of automotive electronics components
• Knowledge of IATF16949/VDA6.3/Design for Six Sigma requirements (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)
• Proficient in Chinese
