Head of Quality

An international optical precision instruments company is seeking a Head of Quality. The selected candidate will lead quality governance, compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating closely with digital transformation and compliance teams. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards
• Oversee sustainability and CSR monitoring through supplier and customer evaluations
• Collaborate with the Digital Transformation team to integrate technology into quality processes
• Partner with the Compliance Department to align quality initiatives with regulatory standards
• Establish and monitor organisational quality KPIs to promote continuous improvement
• Report quality performance, audit outcomes, and improvement measures to senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience in quality management
• Experience in a leadership role driving quality and process improvements across functions
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards
• Skilled in digital transformation and technology-driven quality management
• Familiarity with compliance standards and cross-departmental collaboration
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s degree in the above field
• Possess a valid ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Qualification
