リードバイヤー/ Lead Buyer

A global electronic components manufacturer is looking for a Lead Buyer. The successful candidate will oversee sourcing activities, cost management, and component development to meet programme objectives. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop BOM sourcing plans for new programmes
• Manage material cost strategies, track changes, and report cost reduction progress
• Monitor component development and resolve risks to meet programme milestones
• Develop sourcing strategies and mitigation plans for sourcing and development risks
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align sourcing and development plans
• Track programme progress, report to management, and undertake other assigned duties

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a relevant domain (advanced degree is a plus)
• More than 4 years of procurement experience within the automotive electronics
  industry (program sourcing and supplier management)
• 4-8 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, and sourcing program management
• Experience in JIRA, ERP and MS Office etc
• Prior experience overseeing cross-functional teams and driving supplier performance improvements
• Background in managing complex automotive procurement projects and delivering cost savings while maintaining quality standards
• Understanding of automotive electronics industry regulations, quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949), and other general compliance requirements
• Excellent program management, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess valid program management, procurement or supply chain management (PMP, CPSM, CSCP) qualification
