A global automotive company is looking for a Country Purchasing Manager. The selected candidate will manage purchasing operations, supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier performance for business requirements in Japan. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend suitable suppliers based on purchasing and program requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts
  • Identify, implement, and track cost reduction opportunities
  • Process purchase requisitions, prepare purchase orders, and coordinate supplier follow-ups
  • Maintain purchasing records, supplier codes, databases, and support procedures
  • Review supplier quality performance and coordinate improvement programs with quality teams

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in business administration is a plus
  • More than 3 years of experience in business or automotive
  • Proficient in MA Office Suite
  • Professional level Japanese and English
