戦略的バイヤー/ Strategic Buyer

A global waste management and environmental services company is looking for a Strategic Buyer / Category Manager. The selected candidate will manage category purchasing, vendor negotiations, procurement compliance, and savings initiatives across key spend areas. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse purchasing needs, market trends, and pricing benchmarks to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Lead tenders, RFQs, bid reviews, and supplier negotiations in line with group procurement standards
• Ensure purchasing compliance with policies, controls, payment terms, framework agreements, and approved vendor references
• Review quotes, specifications, drawings, and related documents to confirm procurement requirements
• Extract SAP spend data, prepare savings reports, assess vendors, and monitor daily procurement activities
• Manage key categories including chemicals, intellectual services, and travel through tenders, supplier development, cost control, and system implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of purchasing / PO management experiences as Buyer
• Experience in the management of reporting staff
• Prior negotiation experience with savings
• Background reporting in English
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Native level Japanese; proficient in spoken and written English

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of SAP ARIBA or equivalent applications for Guided Buying & Commerce Automations
