バイヤー/ Buyer

A multinational aerospace company is looking for a Buyer to support procurement activities across Japan and the APAC region. The successful candidate will develop regional supply chain capabilities, identify suppliers and business opportunities, manage strategic supplier relationships, and support cross-functional procurement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Map and maintain aerospace supply chain activities and industrial capabilities across Japan
• Identify potential suppliers, industrial capabilities, innovation projects, and technical initiatives
• Develop country sourcing profiles covering supply base maturity, cost drivers, regulatory and political environments, and strategic alignment
• Facilitate RFI and RFP opportunities to ensure regional industrial capabilities are considered by central teams
• Conduct local supply risk assessments covering political, logistical, quality, and financial risks
• Represent procurement in internal stakeholder management and advocate for supplier capabilities, constraints, and contractual obligations
• Support the International Cooperation and Offset team with regional supplier intelligence and offset strategies
• Plan and coordinate supplier visits, including scheduling, briefing materials, and stakeholder alignment
• Develop long-term supply chain development and sustainability strategies aligned with procurement and future programme requirements
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key regional suppliers
• Act as Supplier Relationship Manager for key suppliers and coordinate strategic information flows, supplier meetings, evaluations, and reporting
• Support central Procurement Commodities with delegated intelligence and coordination activities
• Facilitate collaboration between suppliers and Engineering, R&D, Operations, and other internal functions to implement supplier-driven innovations
• Validate supplier data and provide regional insights to support the APAC supply chain strategy
• Support technology scouting and business development activities by providing supplier intelligence and insights

Requirements:

• Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a global environment
• Strong negotiation, coaching, communication, and presentation skills
• Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to acting with integrity
• Professional level English; proficient in Japanese
