戦略調達担当/ Sourcing

A multinational electronic manufacturing company is looking for a Sourcing professional. The selected candidate will lead sourcing activities from product development through launch, develop cost models, manage supplier strategy and sourcing events, and support cross-functional decisions on cost, quality, manufacturing, and supply risk.

Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier identification, sourcing, selection, and contracting activities for new products and components
• Partner with product development teams and bring manufacturing, quality, cost, and Design to Value perspectives into product design decisions
• Conduct should-cost, make-versus-buy, market, and RFQ analyses to support sourcing decisions and cost targets
• Develop and execute sourcing and supply strategies with category management, regional category management, and division sourcing teams
• Negotiate commercial terms in accordance with internal policies and coordinate legal terms with internal legal support
• Identify and develop suppliers and manufacturing technologies, including potential suppliers in low-cost countries
• Lead cross-functional sourcing workstreams and proactively manage supply risks including single-source, business continuity, capacity, quality, and delivery
• Support production ramp-up and handover to mass production
• Drive sourcing process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, costing accuracy, sourcing system setup, and project reporting
• Act as the sourcing point of contact for new product development projects and collaborate across functions and geographies
• Travel up to 25% as business needs require

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, supply chain, procurement, finance, project management, business, or a related field
• More than 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, project management, finance, or a related environment
• Experience coordinating cross-functional work across business groups, functions, or geographies
• Experience using data and cost analysis to support business or sourcing decisions
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Professional level Japanese; basic level English
