コモディティマネージャー/ Commodity Manager

A multinational financial technology company is looking for a Commodity Manager. The selected candidate will lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, spend management initiatives, and procurement governance to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and compliance/governance activities
• Act as an escalation contact for operational issues involving suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders
• Steer the selection, development, and management of strategic suppliers to achieve commodity cost and performance goals
• Monitor commodity market conditions, industry trends, supplier capabilities, emerging technologies, and supply and demand challenges
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of sourcing policies, contracts policies, procedures, and processes
• Lead supplier performance reviews, supplier relationship management, root cause analysis, improvement plans, and technology roadmap alignment
• Negotiate and execute contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in commodity management, supply chain management, and source-to-contract activities
• Experience in indirect category management
• Strong understanding of hardware maintenance, professional services, IT, software licensing, cloud architecture, IT labour statements of work, and software-as-a-service
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Understanding of ethical purchasing requirements and ability to collaborate with Legal teams
• Native level Japanese; professional level English

Preferred requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience in direct source-to-contract work facilitating bilateral master agreements
• More than 5 years of experience in IT and software sourcing
• Experience in management roles
• In-depth experience with procurement and services contracts, including field services, hardware maintenance, software-as-a-service, software licensing, and hardware sales and service
• Possess a valid J.D., local equivalent legal degree, MBA, or similar advanced degree
