オペレーションマネージャー/ Operations Manager

A leading technology manufacturing company is looking for an Operations Manager. The selected candidate will oversee production planning, contract manufacturing, supplier management, supply chain continuity, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead production activities across contract manufacturing partners and manage costs, capacity, engineering resources, and delivery schedules
• Develop production plans and recovery actions for schedule delays, quality concerns, and operational disruptions
• Oversee the full manufacturing cycle, including design coordination, production, testing, evaluation, inspection, and shipment readiness
• Manage supplier relationships, component procurement, material availability, quality performance, and supply chain risk mitigation
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Data Verification, and EHS teams to resolve issues and meet customer commitments
• Manage inventory, warehouse operations, resource allocation, facility improvements, 5S activities, and future team development

Requirements:

• Experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Operations, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management within large equipment, machinery, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Prior supplier management and negotiation experience (cost, delivery, quality, and service-related discussions)
• Proven project management experience involving cross-functional stakeholders
• Background in managing costs, budgets, and payment controls
• Prior background in leading teams, coaching employees, and driving organisational performance through effective leadership
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
• Understanding of logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and supply chain operations
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Business level written and spoken English; proficient in Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience managing production operations for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, factory automation (FA) systems, or other industrial machinery
• Prior experience coordinating activities among engineering teams, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers
• Knowledge of semiconductor industry manufacturing processes and operational requirements
