A global medical devices company is looking for a Program Manager. The selected applicant will be in charge of driving and managing process development and operational improvement initiatives within Capital Equipment Technical Service (CETS).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve overall processes within Capital Equipment Technical Service, considering external factors such as competitors, macro trends, and industry developments
  • Analyse existing day-to-day operating processes and identify pain points for improvement or elimination
  • Design streamlined operating schemes for CETS in collaboration with domestic Business Units and overseas stakeholders
  • Define operationally and financially optimised standard processes by balancing differences across Business Units and portfolios
  • Drive and manage complex initiatives, delivering critical solutions while leading internal and external stakeholders
  • Influence team priorities and business strategy through data-driven and fact-based recommendations
  • Own the overall strategy of large-scale programs and independent initiatives, managing all stages from concept to delivery
  • Ensure transparency and effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders within and across organisations
  • Lead program management team members responsible for the day-to-day execution of operational development projects
  • Drive and manage innovative projects across scope, quality, risk, schedule, finance, and deliverables
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities and escalate them to relevant teams and stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively to influence stakeholders and build trusted, collaborative relationships
  • Define critical paths for complex ongoing initiatives to maintain project quality and manage time and financial constraints
  • Report progress, upcoming milestones, risks, and mitigation plans tailored to intended audiences
  • Apply change management practices to ensure successful project delivery across the organisation
  • Coach, upskill, and support team members to improve productivity and effectiveness through project management best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, logistics, or related field
  • More than 5 years of proven experience in the comprehensive SCM or service operation fields in certain industries (medical is a plus) with a balance of both strategic and operational capabilities
  • More than 3 years of experience in project or program management with an end-to-end scope, beginning with the planning phase through execution and implementation
  • Leadership experience managing a small team
  • Change management skills and experiences with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate, collaborate and involve internal and external stakeholders
  • Native level Japanese; business level written and verbal English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in Six Sigma
