航空貨物マネージャー/ Air Freight Manager

An international logistics company is looking for an Air Freight Manager. The selected candidate will manage air freight services, oversee operational performance and resources, develop customer and carrier relationships, manage pricing and tender activities, ensure compliance, and lead the operations team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage air freight services, operational performance, volumes, revenues, costs, and KPIs against budget and business targets
• Develop and implement operational strategies to maintain service quality and improve performance
• Manage relationships with key customers, airlines, subcontractors, and the company network
• Resolve customer service issues and support key and strategic customer meetings
• Plan air operations resources and monitor team performance against company KPIs
• Manage airline and subcontractor rates and charges, including promotional rates and procurement activities for trucking, warehousing, and customs clearance
• Maintain accurate and accessible cost data for pricing and tender purposes
• Coordinate RFQ and tender activities, including reviewing requirements, completing tender details, coordinating missing information, and ensuring submissions meet deadlines
• Align with Local Sales and Management on pricing strategies, market developments, and strategically important RFQs
• Ensure airlines and subcontractors comply with company standards and Japan compliance requirements
• Act as the main Japan contact for regional and global Product Management on Air Operations and for Air BPO on new processes, systems, and escalations
• Recruit and train team members and conduct performance appraisals
• Ensure air operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of relevant professional experience
• More than 5 years of management responsibility
• Business level English (B2)
