Head of Wholesaler Management

A multinational biopharmaceutical company is looking for a Head of Wholesaler Management. The selected candidate will oversee wholesaler operations, distributor relationships, commercial performance, and distribution strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee wholesaler management and commercial operations
• Build and maintain relationships with key distributor stakeholders
• Monitor data, KPIs, and business performance across wholesaler channels
• Coordinate order management, pricing, billing, and financial processes
• Develop distribution, channel, margin, and operational strategies
• Manage product returns and related commercial processes
• Coordinate pricing revisions and margin-related activities with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to management

Requirements:

• Experience in distribution and wholesaler management in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
• Prior experience in contracting, negotiation, and issue resolution with external partners
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and process improvements
• Knowledge of Japanese pharmaceutical wholesale distribution, commercial flows, order management, and related regulations and industry practices
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience handling specialty products or gene therapies
• Prior experience with new product launches and single-distribution products
• Proven experience with JD-Net, ERP systems such as SAP, and Power BI or other BI tools
