カスタマーサービス/ Customer Service

A global logistics company is seeking a Customer Service professional to support ocean freight export operations. The successful candidate will manage export bookings, coordinate shipping and pre-carriage arrangements, verify shipping documents, liaise with customers and agents, and arrange freight payments and invoicing. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Receive ocean freight export orders from local shippers and overseas agents by telephone, fax, and email
• Verify shipment details, including shipper information, destinations, cargo details, shipping lines, and bills of lading instructions
• Open shipment files and check quotations
• Book cargo space with shipping lines
• Arrange pre-carriage and select and instruct approved subcontractors when required
• Send booking confirmations with vessel and pre-carriage details before cargo collection
• Coordinate customs formalities with customs agents and provide the required documentation when requested
• Check draft and final house and master bills of lading before distribution
• Dispatch shipping documents promptly after vessel departure according to customer instructions
• Arrange freight payments to shipping lines and invoice customers in line with agreed quotations

Requirements:

• Professional level Japanese and English
