シニアリーガルカウンセル/ Senior Legal Counsel

An international financial institution is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will manage legal matters across financial transactions, provide strategic legal advice, and support business units through governance, compliance, and contract management.

Responsibilities:

• Handle documentation of transaction agreements across cash management, corporate banking, and global markets
• Manage external counsel and coordinate legal support across matters
• Partner strategically with business units and supporting functions to identify issues and provide solutions
• Conduct scheme analysis and provide legal guidance on complex matters
• Participate in governance forums as a legal representative

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 7 years of experience in legal practice within top-tier law firms or financial institutions
• Experience covering financial transactions, corporate banking, and global markets legal matters
• Strong technical legal skills with understanding of financial regulations and legal theories
• Possess a valid qualification to legal practice in Japan Bengoshi
• Professional level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess a valid legal qualification in foreign country
