法務顧問/ Legal Counsel

A renowned IT company is seeking a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across Japan operations and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage entity incorporation and corporate secretarial matters, ensuring compliance with governance standards
• Support M&A transactions, including local law advisory and post-acquisition agreements
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and commercial contracts
• Translate and review legal materials between Japanese and English with accuracy and consistency
• Advise internal teams on legal risks and compliance strategies to support business objectives
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends affecting Japan operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law from a recognised university in Japan
• More than 4 years of experience in legal (from law firm and/or in-house legal department is a plus
• Background in Japanese legal systems (international or cross-border legal matters is ideal)
• Possess valid Japanese bar examination qualification is desired
• Bilingual level Japanese and English
