The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is encouraging foreign companies to make Tokyo their new home. Foreign companies newly headquartered in Tokyo will benefit from preferential tax treatment as well as deregulation and fiscal and financial assistance.
Recruitment Costs Subsidy
Of fees paid to recruitment agencies or specialists such as administrative scriveners for establishment of the Asian regional headquarters/R&D centre, recruitment costs are also eligible for subsidy.
*Please note that taxes and other fees paid to public agencies are excluded.
Amount of Subsidy
Subsidies will not exceed one-half of the actual expenses incurred and will be limited to a maximum JPY 5 million per company. Read more about the subsidy here.
