ITシステムエンジニア/ IT System Engineer

A global automotive company is looking for an IT System Engineer. The successful candidate will manage enterprise business applications, IT operations, dealer connectivity, and technology projects while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant IT services across Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain Japan-specific business applications, ensuring system stability, integration, and lifecycle management
• Lead or support application enhancements, digital transformation projects, and system implementations including SAP and CRM platforms
• Provide first-tier onsite IT support for business applications, hardware, networks, and workplace technologies
• Coordinate application maintenance, user acceptance testing, incident resolution, and business continuity activities
• Manage IT vendors, service providers, budgets, procurement processes, & technology assets
• Support warehouse, sales, logistics, and dealer systems while providing technical guidance to business users
• Maintain IT security, compliance, governance, data privacy, and audit controls in collaboration with regional and global teams
• Coordinate IT services, connectivity, and change management with external partners and dealers
• Act as the primary IT liaison between Japan, regional, and global stakeholders to support business transformation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in IT systems engineering, business application ownership, or IT operations supporting enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with SAP, CRM, WMS, enterprise applications, system integration, and data flows
• Experience supporting workplace technologies including PCs, networks, telephony, Wi-Fi, conferencing systems, and end-user support
• Experience managing vendors, service providers, contracts, operational coordination, and security compliance
• Strong knowledge of IT security, vulnerability management, data privacy, access management, and audit controls
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with ITIL service management practices and tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Salesforce, cloud ERP/CRM transformation, and legacy system integration
