プロジェクトマネージャー/ Project Manager

A global IT services company is looking for a Project Manager. The selected candidate will lead large-scale application development projects, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder alignment, and effective risk management. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and drive large-scale application development projects
• Prepare project proposals, schedules, and governance documents, and report to management
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including launch, planning, requirements definition, design, development, testing, release, and operational migration
• Coordinate and build consensus with business units and stakeholders in Japan
• Collaborate with architects, development teams, and delivery partners
• Lead risk management, issue management, decision support, and project governance
• Manage projects across multiple vendors and teams
• Manage quality, cost, and schedule, and provide leadership to drive project success

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of project management experience in large-scale application development projects
• Experience driving projects in environments involving multiple vendors and teams
• Experience negotiating with and reporting to executives and senior stakeholders
• Fluent-level Japanese; basic level English

Preferred Requirements:

• Project experience in the life insurance or financial industry
• Experience in enterprise transformation or large-scale system implementation projects
• IT background, with the ability to hold technical discussions with architects and development teams
• Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies
• Experience working in large corporate environments with strict governance and compliance requirements
• Experience driving client projects as an IT service partner
