プロダクトマネージャー/ Product Manager

A growing technology company is looking for a Product Manager. The selected candidate will define product strategy and roadmaps, lead requirements and development priorities, drive data-informed product improvements, and coordinate with business, engineering, research, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and release plans aligned with business goals
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and build sustainable competitive advantages
• Define business and product requirements, create feature specifications, and prioritise development initiatives
• Manage development progress and the end-to-end release process for assigned products in collaboration with stakeholders
• Collect and analyse user feedback, monitor product KPIs and metrics, and develop data-driven improvement strategies
• Identify product improvement opportunities and propose new features based on customer needs and operational data
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, QA, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver successful product releases
• Partner with internal research teams and engineering organisations throughout product development
• Participate in Scrum development using two-week sprints and contribute to Product Owner and Scrum Master activities

Requirements:

• More than 3 years of practical experience as a Product Manager for B2B products or more than 3 years of experience managing software development releases and product delivery
• Foundational technical knowledge of software development, including load balancing, databases, and software architecture concepts
• Ability to participate effectively in meetings conducted in Japanese
• Candidates without formal Product Manager experience may be considered if they have progressed from software developer to Technical Lead and/or Engineering Manager positions
• Proficient in Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Knowledge or experience in accounting, finance, or back-office operations
• Basic understanding of programming, design, or user experience
• Team management or project management experience
• Experience using AI coding agents or AI-assisted development tools
• Experience bridging business and product teams, including explaining trade-offs between expected returns and implementation costs
