Bilingual Head Of Technology

A global technology solutions company is looking for a Bilingual Head of Technology. The selected candidate will lead client-facing technology strategy, solution design, and business development initiatives for the Japan market.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a technology advisor to clients and prospects in Japan
• Understand client business needs and translate them into scalable technology solutions
• Collaborate with architects and technical teams to design and propose solutions
• Identify technology opportunities, capability gaps, and cross-service-line growth opportunities
• Lead client discovery sessions, technical discussions, demos, workshops, RFPs/RFIs, proposals, and PoCs
• Identify and promote AI/GenAI, Cloud, Data, Automation, Application Modernisation, and Digital Engineering solutions
• Review solutions for technical feasibility, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Support account planning, business growth, up-selling, and cross-selling initiatives
• Build strong relationships with key clients and senior technology stakeholders
• Share Japan market trends, client feedback, and technology requirements with global teams
• Represent the company at client workshops, technology events, and industry forums
• Promote knowledge sharing between Japan and global technology teams

Requirements:

• More than 20 years of experience in software engineering, technology consulting, solution architecture, technical leadership, or pre-sales
• Experience in a senior technology or client-facing role
• Prior experience recognising and executing Data, AI/GenAI, automation, and digital solutions to address business challenges, including PoCs and client engagements
• Proven experience in technology consulting and pre-sales, including client discovery, technical workshops, demos, PoCs, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution presentations
• Previous experience coordinating with multiple service lines, architects, technical teams, and delivery teams to develop and present solutions
• Understanding of Data, AI, Generative AI, Cloud, and modern software engineering
• Skilled in Data Engineering & Analytics, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Digital Engineering, Microservices, DevOps, Application Modernization, and Enterprise Applications
• Knowledge of Data and AI architecture, data platforms, analytics, machine learning, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and enterprise AI use cases
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture and enterprise IT
• Familiarity with solution architecture, SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and modern engineering practices
• Native level Japanese (JLPT N1); business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with Japanese enterprise clients, technology companies, system integrators, or large-scale IT organisations
