テクノロジーコンサルティングディレクター/ Technology Consulting Director

A global technology company is looking for a Technology Consulting Director. The selected candidate will lead the consulting organisation, advise customers, architect real-time AI and IoT solutions, oversee project delivery, mentor team members, and engage senior-level stakeholders. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and expand the technology consulting team in Japan through coaching and performance management
• Establish delivery standards, best practices, and quality frameworks for technology projects
• Drive organisational strategy, capability development, and technical excellence
• Engage in executive-level communication with ministries, government entities, enterprises, and partners
• Collaborate with sales leadership to support pre-sales activities, solution positioning, and customer engagement
• Understand complex business challenges and translate them into end-to-end solution architectures
• Lead requirement definition, feasibility analysis, and solution roadmaps for major accounts
• Provide thought leadership in real-time architectures, IoT, AI, and digital transformation
• Oversee proposals, PoCs, project scopes, and solution blueprints
• Define architectures for real-time solutions integrating IoT sensors, AI/ML, vision analytics, enterprise systems, cloud environments, and mobility platforms
• Review and approve key technical designs to ensure scalability, security, and performance
• Guide solution approaches using event-driven, low-code, and distributed models
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations, delivery timelines, and technical outcomes
• Conduct technical audits, code reviews, and architecture assessments
• Work closely with global teams across the US, Europe, APAC, and Middle East
• Represent the Japan region in global strategy meetings and product feedback discussions

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in IT consulting, solution architecture, or system integration
• More than 5 years of experience in team leadership or management
• More than 7 years of experience in Web or backend application development
• More than 5 years of experience in system integration using REST APIs
• Strong experience architecting solutions with IoT, AI/ML, or real-time systems
• Proven track record of leading complex digital transformation projects
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and enterprise system integrations
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript, REST/WebSocket APIs, and data modelling
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven design
• Knowledge of IoT protocols including MQTT, AMQP, and Kafka and AI/ML integration concepts
• Experience with VANTIQ Real-time Application Platform
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficient in English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in event-driven or OODA-based architectures
• Experience collaborating with global teams across the US, EU, and APAC
• Experience with mission-critical or large-scale systems in sectors such as Smart City, Energy, Healthcare, or Manufacturing
