ソフトウェアエンジニア/ Software Engineer

A global enterprise software company is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate will localise and build product features for Japanese customers, develop integrations with customer systems, diagnose technical issues, and work across data, backend, and frontend engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Build and localise product features for the Japanese market, including accounting logic, regulatory disclosure formats, and language
• Own Japan localisation across product UI, in-app copy, help documentation, disclosure report templates, and internationalisation groundwork
• Translate customer and prospect requirements into scoped, developed, and deployed product features
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams across Singapore and APAC to incorporate Japanese requirements into the global roadmap
• Write and maintain technical knowledge including integration guides, runbooks, and customer-facing documentation in Japanese and English
• Review Japanese translations of the UI, help documentation, and disclosure report templates
• Act as the technical expert for Japanese prospects and customers on integrations with accounting, ERP, and data systems
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Japanese enterprise customers across email, video calls, and the ticketing system
• Diagnose product issues across data ingestion, emission calculations, reporting outputs, and configuration, resolving issues in code where possible and escalating with clear, reproducible reports when required
• Guide customers through onboarding and map accounting data to carbon emission categories aligned with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 standards
• Run product demos, walkthroughs, and training sessions to help customers use the platform independently

Requirements:

• Full-stack engineering experience across data, backend, and frontend
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to trace data issues to their root cause
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to work across technical and business teams and translate between different areas of expertise
• Ability to work effectively in an early-stage company environment with evolving processes
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with Python backend development frameworks such as Flask or Django, with backend development experience in other languages or frameworks also considered
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or DuckDB
• Experience running and managing Linux servers on cloud services such as AWS, GCS, or Azure
• Front-end web development experience with ReactJS
• Experience with Python data science tools such as Pandas, Numpy, or Scipy
• Experience with Python NLP tools
