バックエンド開発者/ Backend Developer

A global technology services company is looking for a Backend Developer. The selected candidate will develop backend systems and APIs for insurance solutions while supporting system design, integration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with customers, onsite teams, and offshore teams
• Support system design, development, code reviews, troubleshooting, and deployment
• Develop backend components and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js
• Design and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs for system integrations
• Collaborate with frontend, data, QA, and DevOps teams on digital solutions
• Manage scheduled operations and reporting through batch processing tools

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of IT experience in application design, development, testing, and maintenance projects
• Experience with NodeJS, Oracle Database, MySQL Database, and PostgreSQL Database
• Prior experience with test automation tools (SoapUI, Postman) and monitoring tools
• Native level Japanese (JLP1 N1); business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience designing and executing APIs and system integrations in insurance or financial systems
• Background in Agile methodologies, DevOps, security vulnerability management
• Knowledge with NPM, Maven, VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, OpenShift, containerisation, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), and DevOps practices
• Understanding of distributed architectures, microservices, and Japanese insurance regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with Linux shell scripting and Windows batch development
