A global company is currently looking for a Java Senior Backend Engineer/Java Tech Lead.

　　Location：Osaka

　　Salary： 8 – 9 mil/ annual

　　Hiring company：Large global company (大手グローバル企業)

　　Start date： (Can negotiate)

　　Type of employment：Temp to Perm * 6-12 months later, the candidate will be perm

　　Remote Work：Once a week

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale e-commerce backend and frontend systems for Marketplace
• Deliver high-quality features by understanding business requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Drive system improvements through refactoring, performance optimization, architectural enhancements, and adoption of appropriate technologies
• Maintain highly available 24/7 services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and bug fixing
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable, maintainable systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, code quality, and engineering best practices
• Collaborate proactively with engineers to improve operations and deliver an exceptional shopping experience with fast time-to-market
  

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software design and development
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java / Java EE, including JVM internals (class loading, memory management, GC tuning)
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins), and system monitoring tools
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including code reviews, source control, testing, and build automation
• Ability to enhance and modernize legacy systems while working within existing constraints
• Passion for building scalable, high-performance, and highly available systems in a collaborative environment
• **Japanese is not required for this position**
