バイリンガルデータベースエンジニア/ Bilingual Database Engineer

An international IT services company is looking for a Bilingual Database Engineer. The chosen applicant will be responsible for providing cross-cutting database support across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to technical inquiries from customers and coordinate work schedules in both Japanese and English
• Interpret and facilitate communication between monolingual engineers and customers
• Report to the customer team lead in Japanese
• Support communication and administrative procedures for monolingual engineers within the customer team
• Manage DBA operations across multi-vendor database products
• Support new DB infrastructure construction and automation projects
• Facilitate planned product upgrades in line with end-of-life schedules
• Contribute to DB standardisation and automation initiatives
• Explain technical content clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

• Prior DBA operations experience
• Knowledge of DB operations for one or more databases (MSSQL/DB2/Oracle/AWS RDS/Aurora, etc.)
• DB operations experience on a cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Ability to read, understand, and independently maintain existing Japanese-language documentation
• Ability to explain technical content in accessible terms to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong coordination skills across diverse stakeholders
• Bilingual level written and verbal Japanese and English

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible/PowerShell/SQL)
• Practical experience in operations design, procedure development, and operations improvement
