データベースエンジニア/ Database Engineer

A multinational eCommerce company is looking for a Database Engineer. The selected candidate will design and maintain secure, scalable database platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Design hybrid and multi-cloud architecture connecting on-premises MySQL databases with GCP Cloud SQL
• Collaborate with engineering and application teams to build secure, scalable database platforms
• Manage, monitor, and tune MySQL databases to ensure high availability and low latency

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in the IT Industry
• Experience in MySQL administration (replication strategies, backup/recovery, performance tuning, trouble shooting, and disaster recovery planning)
• Prior experience with GCP (specifically Cloud SQL)
• Proven experience in automating database provisioning and configuration management using tools (Terraform or Ansible)
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity solutions

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in executing large-scale database migrations or synchronisation projects
  between on-premises and cloud environments (using DMS)
• Proficient in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or GCP Cloud Monitoring
• Skilled in automating operational tasks using Python, Go, or Bash scripting
• Understanding of database security standards, including encryption at rest/in transit, IAM integration
• Native level written and verbal Japanese
