A renowned engineering company is looking for an Algorithm Development Data Scientist. The selected candidate will analyse semiconductor equipment data and develop machine learning algorithms to drive automation, predictive maintenance, and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse semiconductor equipment data to develop and implement machine learning algorithms
• Design algorithms for anomaly detection, failure prediction, and process optimisation
• Integrate data-driven models into tools and equipment control systems
• Gather and analyse requirements while aligning stakeholders to resolve project blockers
• Deliver high-quality outputs within project timelines and support QA testing
• Report progress, risks, and issues while managing client relationships in Japan

Requirements:

• Experience in algorithm development using machine learning or related technologies
• Prior experience in Agile Software Development model
• Skilled in Python, MATLAB, or R for data creation and algorithm development
• Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N2+); proficient in English is ideal

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with KNIME, DXP for tool development and analysis
• Prior experience with Spotfire
• Proven experience in simulation techniques using physical models related to semiconductor processes
