プロジェクトマネージャー/ Project Manager

An international engineering and life sciences company is looking for a Project Manager. The selected candidate will lead engineering projects, manage cross-functional teams, oversee technical documentation, and deliver engineered filtration solutions from project initiation through final delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project schedules and action item progress in collaboration with the engineering team
• Produce and review engineering documentation including drawings, calculations, data sheets, and procedures to support quotations, customer orders, manufacturing, and suppliers
• Prepare and review product function specifications, testing protocols, and technical documentation
• Lead technical clarification meetings, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Support projects from budgeting and estimation through contract review and final delivery
• Gather and consolidate requirements from customers, engineering teams, and external partners into well-documented deliverables
• Visualise project status and perform daily project management activities
• Deliver projects in accordance with agreed timelines, cost targets, and quality standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering
• More than 5 years of experience in the design of filtration and pressure vessel products or equivalent
• Experience in project management, including schedule control and action item tracking
• Knowledge and experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience as a mechanical engineer
• Design experience in compliance with pressure vessel codes and standards including ASME, HPV, JIS, and JPI
• Welding experience
• Experience with fabricated equipment inspection
• Ability and willingness to travel within Japan and internationally
• Possess a valid driver's licence
• Possess a valid passport
