リードエンジニア/ Lead Engineer

A multinational industrial company is looking for a lead engineer. The selected candidate will work with the project management office and support company projects. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the team in a leadership and technical role related to offshore wind by assisting with various stages of project development and advisory activities
• Collaborate with global teams to understand client need and advise on modular support and fire protection solutions, with further training provided
• Design key applications based on customer needs, delivering solutions within technical, economic, and logistical limits, while learning relevant offshore industry software
• Ensure projects comply with applicable codes and company standards
• Create project-specific best practice guides to help enhance PMO knowledge
• Draft engineering reports detailing calculations for designed applications

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or above in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering
• More than 5 years of structural engineering in shipbuilding/offshore or related domain (yard, shipbuilding/offshore material manufacturers, GE, MAN, Alfa Laval, Siemens, etc), civil engineering, or geotechnical engineering
• More than 3 years of experience in structural engineering
• More than 2 years of experience in F&P (DE or FE role)
• Experience working with overseas teams and working with local customers
• Understanding of 3D modelling using Autodesk and Navisworks (this is an experience)
• Familiar with the usage of structural engineering software
• Proficient in spoken Japanese; professional level in English
