A global healthcare company is looking for a Senior TA Partner. The chosen applicant will be in charge of delivering excellence throughout the Talent Acquisition lifecycle across individual assignments and larger-scale recruitment projects.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in Japan and other markets as required, providing strategic guidance on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and market positioning
- Partner with business leaders and HR to translate business strategy into effective hiring plans
- Provide data-driven insights and external market intelligence to influence hiring decisions
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for Japan and other markets, ensuring high-quality hiring outcomes across both volume and niche roles
- Drive direct sourcing strategies, including proactive talent mapping, headhunting, and pipeline development
- Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience aligned with the employer brand
- Drive continuous improvement in hiring outcomes by elevating hiring manager capability across the recruitment lifecycle
- Act as a quality gatekeeper, constructively challenging hiring decisions to ensure alignment with role requirements and organisational standards
- Leverage hiring data and insights, including offer acceptance rates, interview-to-offer ratios, and new hire success indicators, to continuously refine hiring strategies and processes
- Effectively challenge and influence hiring managers to drive quality hiring decisions
- Proactively identify gaps in hiring effectiveness, such as poor interview quality and inconsistent decisions, and implement targeted interventions
- Manage complex stakeholder environments, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Provide Talent Acquisition support to other APAC markets as required based on business demand
- Rebalance priorities across markets and manage competing demands
- Leverage employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies to attract top talent in Japan and support APAC
- Operate effectively across different cultural, regulatory, and business environments
- Represent the organisation at industry events, networking, and talent communities
- Ensure accurate and timely management of requisitions in Workday and related systems
- Maintain strong governance across the recruitment lifecycle, including compliance and risk management
- Proactively identify and escalate process or compliance risks
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in the Japan talent landscape, including market insight, candidate behaviour and expectations, competitive hiring practices, and regulatory and cultural considerations
- Advise stakeholders on realistic hiring strategies, timelines, and talent availability
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- More than 8 years of proven experience in delivering end-to-end Talent Acquisition in a complex, candidate-driven market (Japan), including both volume and niche hiring
- Experience managing multi-market or regional hiring scope, with the ability to reprioritise across geographies based on business demand
- Strong expertise in direct sourcing, talent mapping, and pipeline development for critical roles
- Hands-on experience using ATS/CRM systems (Workday) with high data accuracy and process compliance
- Practical and applied knowledge of end-to-end Talent Acquisition processes within a global
organisation - Specialised knowledge of the Japan talent market, including hiring practices, candidate behaviour, and regulatory considerations
- Working knowledge of regional (APAC) hiring environments and cross-cultural dynamics
- Understanding of compensation frameworks and offer management in a competitive market
- Familiarity with employment legislation and compliance requirements relevant to hiring practices
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Fluent level Japanese; proficient in English
