A global consumer goods company is looking for a Head of People and Culture. The selected candidate will lead the people agenda across talent acquisition, organisational development, employee engagement, and HR strategy to support business growth. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition strategy and implementation for critical hiring needs
  • Strengthen recruitment processes, tools, and candidate experience
  • Partner with marketing and regional teams to enhance employer branding and market visibility
  • Meet hiring targets to support rapid business expansion
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organisational strategy and workforce planning
  • Translate business priorities into HR strategies and execution roadmaps
  • Influence organisational design to support performance and future business needs
  • Lead performance management, talent review, and succession planning processes
  • Identify and develop high-potential employees through learning and development initiatives
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
  • Design and deliver employee engagement strategies based on workforce insights
  • Serve as a culture ambassador and lead change management initiatives
  • Partner with regional rewards teams on annual compensation and policy processes
  • Ensure HR operations excellence through standardised processes and data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Manage employee relations matters with fairness and timely resolution
  • Support and train managers in effective people management practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field
  • More than 12 years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience in multinational consumer goods, retail, FMCG, or related industries
  • Experience in recruitment and sourcing platform management
  • Proficient in HR strategy, talent management, and employee engagement practices
  • Possess strong knowledge of Japanese labour laws and HR practices
  • Fluent level Japanese; business level English
