A renowned hospitality company is looking for a Director of Human Resources. The selected candidate will lead the Human Resources function, oversee recruitment and employee relations, manage HR policies and processes, and drive staff development, training, and HR planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Human Resources policies and procedures in line with company philosophies and legal requirements
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department and ensure HR administration and personnel development systems are effectively managed
  • Oversee recruitment activities, including interviewing candidates for management and supervisory positions
  • Monitor salary and wage administration and conduct regular salary surveys
  • Manage payroll and related personnel administration procedures
  • Oversee probation, annual appraisal, and performance review processes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR control reports
  • Advise the Executive Committee and General Manager on Human Resources, employee relations, and industrial relations matters
  • Manage internal and external vacancy processes, including job advertisements
  • Oversee HR reporting, including recruitment, termination, resignation, and staff turnover analysis
  • Manage staff communications, opinion surveys, exit interviews, orientation, and employee activities
  • Develop and deliver training programmes and support managers with departmental training requirements
  • Develop and monitor the annual training plan and support career development planning
  • Prepare budget information covering employee relations, training, salaries, and wages
  • Monitor workers compensation, insurance claims, rehabilitation programmes, and safety programmes
  • Establish and maintain Human Resources and training department practices and policies
  • Manage Human Resources staffing plans, budgets, and strategic plans
  • Maintain an active source of potential employees to support staffing requirements
  • Ensure the monthly Human Resources report is completed by the 5th of every month
  • Participate actively in monthly Human Resources meetings

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a hotel with a background and expertise in general affairs and Human Resources
  • Proficient in English and Japanese
