給与計算シニアアナリスト/ Senior Payroll Analyst

A multinational semiconductor manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst. The selected candidate will oversee end-to-end payroll processes, handle complex payroll cases, validate payroll outputs, support compliance activities, and drive process improvements through automation and AI. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support end-to-end payroll operations in Japan, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations and company policies
• Handle complex payroll cases, including adjustments, corrections, statutory requirements, retroactive changes, and exception handling
• Partner with external payroll vendors to validate payroll outputs and ensure high-quality service delivery
• Perform payroll reconciliations and validations, including payroll data, tax calculations, and benefit deductions
• Identify process improvement opportunities through automation and AI to enhance payroll efficiency, controls, and service quality
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and global payroll teams on payroll-related initiatives and operational activities
• Support audits and compliance activities by preparing documentation and responding to internal and external inquiries

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in Japan payroll
• Strong understanding of Japanese payroll practices, statutory requirements, income tax, social insurance, and year-end adjustment processes
• Experience managing complex payroll cases, including adjustments, corrections, retroactive changes, and exception handling
• Understanding of payroll processes and logic, with the ability to review and validate vendor outputs
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with payroll, time and attendance, or HR systems such as Workday, SAP, or similar platforms
• Experience working in a multinational company or outsourced payroll environment
• Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or payroll control activities
• Interest in or exposure to digitalisation, automation, or AI-driven process improvements
• AI proficiency in Copilot, AI assistants, or other applicable LLMs
• Business level English
