給与計算スペシャリスト/ Payroll Specialist

An international financial services company is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The selected candidate will manage payroll operations in Japan, including payroll processing, tax and social insurance reporting, payroll accounting, audit support, and process improvement initiatives. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all payroll activities in Japan including year-end processing, tax filing, and social insurance reporting
• Handle payroll accounting, GL postings, reconciliation, and account reviews
• Support payroll operations and ensure accurate and timely processing
• Review and improve payroll processes and operational workflows
• Manage outsourced vendors providing payroll compliance services
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc management and headcount reports
• Support expatriate administration with the International Mobility Team
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in HR or payroll
• More than 3 years of Japan payroll experience
• Knowledge of payroll, social security, and tax filing processes in Japan
• Extensive knowledge of Japan income and resident taxes and statutory reporting
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience with SAP HR and/or Workday
• Experience working in multinational companies
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English
