General Manager (Department Head)

A global engineering and technology company is looking for a General Manager (Department Head). The successful candidate will lead the International Business Department, oversee overseas business support, manage M&A projects, drive strategic initiatives, and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Group's overseas subsidiaries and their clients
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with international business partners and stakeholders
• Manage M&A projects from initiation through completion
• Communicate and coordinate with external advisors
• Lead and oversee due diligence activities
• Monitor and manage the overall progress of M&A projects
• Identify, analyse and resolve strategic business issues
• Design and drive post-merger integration processes
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations to senior management and executives
• Communicate with overseas business owners using professional business EnglishPrepare reports, presentations and other documentation in English
• Collaborate and negotiate with the Group's French shareholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Experience in corporate planning, business strategy or management consulting
• Strong IT literacy
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation preparation
• Ability to leverage digital tools to improve operational efficiency
• Professional level Japanese; fluent level English

Preferred requirements:

• Practical experience related to mergers and acquisitions
• Project management experience
• Proficient in French
