セールスマネージャー/ Sales Manager
An energy company is searching for a Sales Manager. The chosen applicant will be responsible for leading the frontline initiation, development, and negotiation of structured energy transactions. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously scan the market to identify and engage with established and new entrant customers
- Develop relationships and manage deal journeys with a prioritised funnel of structured electricity trading prospect customers
- Lead the pitching, negotiation, mandating and project management of a portfolio of term- or framework deals to conclusion
- Develop new business cases and sales & marketing materials
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders on our value chain integration opportunities
- Monitor regulatory changes within the Japanese power industry
- Communicate effectively with relevant regulators
Requirements:
- Professional experience in the power retailer, commodity trading, or utility (exposure to the electricity industry in Japan, including deal or contract delivery, is preferred)
- In-depth understanding of the structure of the Japanese energy market, its liberalisation trajectory to date and anticipated market mechanisms
- Skilled in developing and selling commodity risk management products (financially or physically settled or fuel source derivatives, imbalance management products, etc.)
- Experience in sales and supply and demand management in the power retail business is preferred
- Experience in a financial institution focusing on Customer credit management is preferred
- Corporate finance and accounting knowledge and the ability to analyse Customer financial statements, business cash flow, income statement, and balance sheet projections are a plus
- In-depth understanding of the detailed end-to-end trading value chain and deal operationalisation is desirable
- Business Level Japanese and English
