Head of Offshore
A global energy technology organisation is seeking a Head of Offshore – Japan. The successful candidate will drive market entry, lead sales strategy, build key stakeholder relationships, and secure high-value offshore wind projects. This is a hybrid setup role.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and government and regulatory bodies
- Act as the key spokesperson and interface with the Japanese government on offshore wind matters
- Serve as senior point of contact for key accounts, understanding strategic needs and challenges
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and high-level meetings
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy developments in the renewable energy sector
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, risks, and strategic growth areas
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analyses to senior leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- More than 10 years of experience in senior sales or business development roles within energy, renewables, or heavy infrastructure sectors in Japan
- Experience in sales strategy, business development, value proposition development, consultative selling, and negotiation
- Strong stakeholder management experience including customer relationship management, relationship building, and governmental relations
- Business level Japanese and English
