建設プロジェクトディレクター/ Construction Project Director

A multinational hyperscale and colocation data centre provider is looking for a Construction Project Director. The chosen candidate will lead the construction execution phase of large-scale data centre development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate construction activities with general contractors and specialist subcontractors
• Monitor construction progress and manage critical-path activities
• Review short-term and long-term construction schedules
• Identify potential delays and implement appropriate mitigation measures
• Resolve technical, coordination, and construction-related issues on site
• Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and oversee clash detection and resolution
• Ensure that construction activities are aligned with approved designs, project specifications, and contractual requirements
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and technology-related work packages
• Coordinate the installation of standby power generation systems
• Oversee the installation of high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical distribution systems
• Manage the installation of uninterruptible power supply and static transfer switch systems
• Coordinate the installation of cooling infrastructure and associated mechanical systems
• Manage construction interfaces between major equipment packages and the building infrastructure
• Manage the installation and construction integration of major owner-supplied equipment
• Ensure that equipment installation is coordinated with the overall construction schedule
• Support commissioning preparation, including Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and Integrated Systems Testing
• Manage construction close-out activities in preparation for operational handover and Ready for Service milestones
• Ensure that project quality plans and construction quality standards are properly implemented
• Ensure that site safety requirements and construction safety management practices are followed

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of construction management experience with a general contractor, specialist contractor, engineering contractor, developer, or project management organisation
• Experience holding a responsible site leadership position, such as Site Representative, Site Manager, Chief Engineer, Construction Manager, or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience managing construction schedules, quality, safety, cost, and contractor performance
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and specialist work packages on complex construction projects
• Technical expertise in Architecture and building construction, Electrical systems, or Mechanical systems
• Experience managing schedules and critical-path activities for large-scale construction projects
• Ability to review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, and construction methodologies
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Native level Japanese

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience delivering data centres, critical facilities, semiconductor facilities, pharmaceutical facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, or other technically complex infrastructure
• Experience with data centre fit-out or technology infrastructure projects
• Experience coordinating major equipment packages and owner-supplied equipment
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash-resolution processes
• Experience using construction document control or project management platforms
• Experience working with international clients, consultants, contractors, or project teams
• Experience supporting commissioning and integrated systems testing
• Knowledge of large-scale cloud or shared data centre environments
• Familiarity with mission-critical electrical and cooling infrastructure
• Relevant construction management, engineering, architectural, electrical, mechanical, or safety qualifications
• Conversational level English
