プロジェクトマネージャー/ Project Manager
A multinational facility management and engineering services company is looking for a Deputy Project Manager of Diplomatic Missions Team. The selected candidate will supervise Site Managers and subcontractors, manage project budgets and schedules, ensure quality and safety standards, and support the Project Manager and client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate teams including Site Managers and subcontractors during onsite installation, operations, and project activities
- Monitor project progress through job site meetings, progress reports, and inspections
- Resolve construction and maintenance issues by collaborating with customers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and other involved parties
- Report client requests and complaints to the supervisor daily
- Be present at Head Office every weekday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Respond to emergencies such as fire, water leakage, and interruptions to electricity, gas, or water at client sites regardless of time or holidays
- Answer calls at any time regardless of regular working hours
- Manage project budgets, expenses, and financial details to maximise team profit
- Develop project schedules and timelines
- Implement recovery plans when events impact daily operations
- Ensure installations meet quality standards and safety guidelines
- Conduct inspections promptly and address deficiencies
- Complete project closeout processes, including resolving punch list items and organising documentation
- Maintain strong client relationships through verbal communication, reports, and emails
- Participate proactively in tenders and support Site Managers and Project Managers
- Provide regular project status updates and daily and periodic maintenance updates while addressing client concerns
- Attend monthly meetings with clients of each site and provide supervision
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of experience directly managing design-build and plan-spec projects above USD 50,000
- Ability to read and understand mechanical plans, specifications, and construction details
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Asset Management System, Bookkeeping System, and Attendance System
- Knowledge and experience using MS Project and Outlook
- Fluent level English (TOEIC 800+); proficient in Japanese
Preferred requirements:
- 7 years of technical education in HVAC, engineering, or construction management
