プロジェクトマネージャー/ Project Manager

An energy company is searching for a Project Manager. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all phases of a large-scale infrastructure project, from development through execution and handover.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure health and safety for project resources, contractors, and subcontractors, and secure adequate resources to meet safety objectives
• Guarantee achievement of project objectives, including HSE, budget, financing execution, time schedule, quality, consent, communication, and O&M preparation
• Manage day-to-day project operations and supervise the overall organisation, including updates to the Project Execution Plan
• Coordinate and manage grid interconnection processes in compliance with TSO instructions and regulations
• Provide decision proposals and reporting to SPC shareholders, lenders, the company, future operator, authorities, and local stakeholders
• Lead selection of EPC, BoP, O&M contractors, and suppliers in collaboration with procurement and global teams
• Supervise the construction phase, addressing risks, opportunities, contingency planning, and milestone tracking
• Oversee implementation of the O&M strategy and ensure proper handover to operating teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, or in another technical or related discipline
• More than 5 years of experience in the energy industry, particularly in project development functions in energy infrastructure (power generation, particularly large-scale microgrids, wind onshore or BESS)
• Successfully delivered a project in the field is a plus
• Professional approach to greenfield project development with a good understanding of technical, financial, commercial, policy and regulatory deliverables
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese (JLPT N2+) and English
