リードテクニカルディレクター/ Lead Tech Director

A global consulting company is searching for a Lead Tech Director. The chosen applicant will drive the growth and development of the Technology Sector, focusing on expanding the company’s presence in the technology and data centre markets.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technology sector growth strategy and business development initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional and global technology clients, especially in the data centre sector
• Identify, scope, and secure new business opportunities, including projects utilising regional delivery centres
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing local technical team capable of delivering multiple projects across Japan and East Asia
• Collaborate with APAC and EA regional leads to align strategies, share best practices, and achieve broader business objectives
• Ensure all projects meet quality, sustainability, and client satisfaction standards
• Drive recruitment and talent development plans in collaboration with People Partners and leadership stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership while promoting innovation, digital integration, and sustainable development principles
• Represent the company in industry forums, client events, and other professional engagements
• Monitor and report progress toward business growth targets and technology sector strategic goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, technology, architecture or a related discipline
• More than 12 years of experience in building MEP design
• More than 5 years of experience in technology-related engineering consultancy, with strong exposure to data centres, critical facilities, or similar sectors
• Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and team leadership within the Japan market
• Strong understanding of regional and global technology trends, digital transformation, and sustainability in built environment projects.
• Familiarity with Japanese market dynamics, client culture, and regulatory environments
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build enduring client partnerships
• Technical expertise in engineering or consultancy services related to technology sectors, especially data centres
• Experience with managing complex multi-disciplinary projects and leading geographically dispersed teams is preferred
• Proficient in Japanese and English
