フィールドアプリケーションエンジニア/ Field Application Engineer

An international electrical solutions company is looking for a Field Application Engineer - Data Solution. The successful candidate will provide technical sales support, evaluate customer requirements, manage complex projects, and coordinate cross-functional teams from prototype through serial production. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Support regional and global sales with technical expertise for customised and engineered Data Solution Cooling Solutions, cabinet and iPDU projects
• Partner with sales on customer visits to support sales closure
• Deliver technical presentations to customers
• Support the technical chat function for the company website
• Participate in trade shows and exhibitions as required
• Ensure project kick-off alignment meetings are properly executed
• Evaluate customer RFQs and prepare technical and commercial costing and quotes
• Assess technical feasibility and potential technical and commercial risks
• Support sales in customer price negotiations and project KPI achievement
• Manage projects from prototype phase through serial production
• Create project plans and coordinate timelines with engineering, supply and operations teams
• Drive development schedules, including prototyping and testing, and ensure timely handover to serial production
• Clarify order changes and open issues by comparing initial orders with quotations
• Foster collaboration across teams to identify problems and establish resolutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Electronic or Engineering
• More than 5 years of technical experience in a professional target-driven business
• Experience working for an international company
• Experience working in teams with a strong team-oriented approach
• Experience as an Application Engineer
• Strong background in data centre, data solution and cooling solution applications
• Knowledge of product design processes, including electronic design, drawings, verification and certification
• Knowledge of electronic assemblies with a focus on application sales
• Knowledge of product technical aspects, specifications and offerings
• Ability to research, analyse and recommend products based on applications
• Project management knowledge and experience managing complex customer projects and cross-functional teams
• Experience leading technical discussions with customers to secure project wins
• Knowledge of customer applications for relevant products
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and personal computer applications
• Business level Japanese and English
