エンジニアリングマネージャー/ Manager of Engineering

A global energy company is looking for a Manager of Engineering. The selected candidate will oversee technical deliverables and feasibility assessments for energy projects, collaborating closely with international and local teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with overseas engineering teams to manage deliverables such as site layouts and energy yield forecasts
• Review and validate engineering outputs to ensure feasibility and alignment with project requirements
• Manage local consultants in preparing grid interconnection applications and technical documentation
• Analyse utility responses and identify technical risks
• Assess site feasibility based on land characteristics, regulations, and interconnection status
• Support internal approvals for EPC design packages, from concept to detailed design

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in solar PV reengineering (utility scale and distributed generation)
• Experience managing engineering consultants
• Understanding of PV system design, layout planning, energy simulation tools (PVsyst), and electrical/civil engineering
• Knowledge with Japan’s interconnection application process and utility coordination
• Understanding of SCADA, monitoring systems, or grid compliance requirements is preferred
• Familiarity with across engineering, construction, and grid interconnection domains
• Possess valid technical certifications (P.E. license, electrical engineer license, second-class electrical work specialist) is ideal
• Native level Japanese; business level English
