An international specialty chemicals company is seeking a Sales Manager. The selected candidate will lead sales strategy across North Asia, manage strategic customer relationships, support new product development initiatives, and deliver sustainable revenue and profitability growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of sales strategies to accelerate business growth across North Asia
  • Drive the implementation of sales and marketing plans aligned with market needs and business priorities
  • Deliver sales targets with accountability for both volume and profitability
  • Develop, coach, and support the sales team and distributors to maximise performance and market impact
  • Build strategic relationships with key customers to develop collaborative BioFunctional projects and long-term growth opportunities
  • Partner with the Marketing team to design, coordinate, and interpret regular and ad hoc market research
  • Collaborate with Marketing on the development of new products tailored to the Japan and South Korea markets
  • Coordinate with Marketing to support new product introduction promotions and commercialisation activities
  • Manage indirect costs responsibly and within budget
  • Ensure commercial activities align with company standards, policies, and operating procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biology, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • More than 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or R&D within the Personal Care industry
  • Experience in key account management
  • Well-established network within the personal care industry, particularly with decision-makers in R&D and Marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build networks within customer accounts, and identify new growth opportunities
  • Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

  • Academic training in business management
  • Experience in biology or active ingredients
