規制担当スペシャリスト/ Regulatory Specialist

A global chemical company is looking for a Regulatory Specialist. The selected candidate will manage regulatory compliance for chemical products, support registrations and SDS updates, and provide regulatory guidance for products in Japan and global markets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to internal and external enquiries related to Japanese and global chemical regulations
• Conduct regulatory due diligence for products imported into and exported from Japan
• Prepare and submit new chemical registrations to relevant government platforms
• Ensure Japan GHS-compliant Safety Data Sheets are accurate and up to date
• Coordinate SDS updates with internal authoring teams in line with regulatory changes
• Track and interpret updates to chemical regulations, standards, and reporting requirements
• Assess regulatory impact on products and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with regional and global regulatory teams on product compliance matters
• Support Product Managers and Commercial teams with customer surveys and regulatory assessments
• Support broader chemical compliance enquiries and integration initiatives across Asia

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific field
• 4-5 years of experience in a similar regulatory role
• Experience in chemical compliance, product registration, and regulatory assessment
• Proficient in Japanese chemical regulations, including Fire Service Law, ISHL, PDSCL, and PRTR
• Proficient in understanding global chemical inventories and industry regulations
• Good knowledge of GHS regulations in Japan and other Asian countries
• Familiarity with Japan’s chemical registration requirements
• Proficient in Japanese and English
